In an act of sanity rarely seen in the United States, “[British] Schools will have to issue a warning before they show students Al Gore's propaganda film about global warming, “An Inconvenient Truth,”” a judge indicated yesterday.
Stewart Dimmock, a father of a student forced to watch Al Gore’s ‘Inconvenient Truth,’ argued that the propaganda film was simply unfit for schools because it is politically biased and contains serious scientific inaccuracies and 'sentimental mush'. He wanted the movie banned from being shown in school to children.
Instead, Justice Burton ruled that teachers will have to warn students that there are other opinions on global warming and they should not necessarily accept the views of the film. Justice Burton added: 'The result is I will be declaring that, with the guidance as now amended, it will not be unlawful for the film to be shown.'
While I agree with Dimmock’s solicitor that this measure does not move far enough, saying 'no amount of turgid guidance' could change the fact that the film is unfit for consumption in the classroom, it is still a step in the right direction. It is a step in the right direction because Al Gore’s nonsense is a major reason why children in Europe are going sleepless a night for fear that their parents are drowning polar bears. This brainwashing has gone out of control. Thankfully, this ruling will mitigate the negative impact that Al Gore has had on the World's children. Finally, we hear some good news.
