Huffington Post Reports that Keith Olbermann is a Liar: Retaliation for Embarrassing Arianna?
All Conservatives/ Libertarians should read the liberal blogs from time to time. In order to make a valid argument for Conservatism, you must understand the other side. This is true even if the other side is devoid of any rational thought. I digress.
As many of you know, I often read the Huffington Post and Media Matters to point out when they are blatantly lying to their own constituency. Today, however, I was totally astounded at what I saw on the Huffington Post. Today, the Huffington Post did something I had never seen before since their inception: They attacked Keith Olbermann.
Keith Olbermann on Monday’s episode of Countdown on MSNBC asserted that former Department of Justice official Daniel Levin, underwent waterboarding to determine if it was torture. Olbermann asserted that Daniel Levin said the following: “Waterboarding, he said, is torture. Legally it is torture. Practically it is torture. Ethically it is torture. And he wrote it down.” Then he got fired, said Olbermann.
Well, that never happened. Keith Olbermann lied about the whole thing.
Levin said, “Waterboarding could be illegal torture unless performed in a highly limited way and with close supervision.” Amazingly, the Huffington Post linked to the article that demonstrated how Olbermann twisted the facts! I have little doubt that this was retaliation for putting Arianna Huffington on Keith’s show last week to unknowingly distort what Rudy Giuliani said.
We reported Saturday how Keith Olbermann misrepresented Rudy’s statements and then used Arianna Huffington to bash Rudy as a result of those statements. I have little doubt that Arianna was angry at Keith Olbermann for making her look like an idiot. The moral of the story is that nobody can trust Keith Olbermann. Apparently, the Left has learned the hard way.
That is a pretty long monologue based on a lie; isn't it?
