Many of you need to be aware of an extremely devious propaganda organization. Worst of all, some of its senior members are professors at American Universities around the Country where they are able to intellectually abuse their students under the cloak of social science. I am talking about the Rockridge Institute. The next time you hear a “Modern-Day Progressive” use language that seems like it came right out of 1984, it probably came from Rockridge.
The Rockridge Institute is a radical Far-Left organization that deliberately rewrites the English language like any Communist reeducation camp. This is done in order to thwart the public from being able to express their rational public grievances, to decrease meaningful debate, and to brutally vilify Conservatives. Just take a look at a statement from their website as well as articles written by their members:
“If we are going to have effective policies that deal with reality, we can start with changing our language and updating what's in our heads. Let's start being mindful of how we think and talk.”
Now, let us see what the Rockridge Institute means by “reality:”
“We promoted the idea that progressives, by accurately framing Iraq as an occupation, can sever the false link to the right wing's “global war on terror.”
Here are some more examples (these quotes were written by Eric Haas - biography here). But, you must see the videos:
“By repeating the phrase "illegal immigrants," they're creating a misleading stereotype. It's inaccurate. And, it's distracting us from the real issue -- economic exploitation of all low-wage workers in the U.S.”
“You can find it in the Washington Post here and in the New York Times here, as well as the doubly derogatory term "illegal alien" in the Washington Times here. They've all got "illegal" on the brain.”
If they are "illegal immigrants," we think of crime and danger and that leads first to police actions, border walls, and round ups.
Yes, under the guise of social science, these propagandists are teaching the public and young students that it is our USE of the word “illegal immigrant” that makes us dislike illegal immigration.
Implicitly, according to the Rockridge Institute, we have no justification for objecting to 60 Americans being kidnapped from Texas into Mexico since 2004. We have no justification for objecting to people who steal our identities. We have no justification for objecting to people who do not pay taxes, but use our welfare system. We have no justification for objecting to crimes that take place by people who should not be in the country in the first place. We have no justification for objecting to those people who commit crimes filling American jails.
No, according to the Rockridge Institute:
“It's all in our heads; it's how our minds work. To understand the world, we unconsciously create categories of things. We understand these categories by, again unconsciously, creating central examples that represent how we envision the basic properties of the group.”
Should we also ignore the definition of alien? The definition of Alien is: “Owing political allegiance to another country or government; foreign: alien residents. Or an unnaturalized foreign resident of a country. Also called noncitizen. A person from another and very different family, people, or place. A person who is not included in a group; an outsider.”
This is not derogatory at all. It is the English language. An “Illegal Alien” is an unnaturalized person who breaks into America illegally. This is a perfectly accurate description of the situation.
These are just a few examples of this deliberate brainwashing, but the videos below are the most appalling things I have seen since having to sit through these types of classes at today’s indoctrination Universities.
In the videos below, you will see George Lakoff. George Lakoff is the co-founder and Senior Fellow of the Rockridge Institute. He is also a Professor of Linguistics at the University of California, Berkeley. Yes, this man teaches the same crap that you will see in this video under the cloak of science.
In case you do not have time to sit through the whole video, I sum up below what he says. I had to sit through brainwashing such as this when I took similar classes. The vilification of conservatives was open and taken as fact, as George Lakoff does here.

When you watch the video, notice how Lakoff starts off using “science” and then just goes off on a tirade blasting Conservatives, making them seem unsophisticated.
Pathetically, Lakoff, like most liberal elites at today’s Universities, he has no understanding of economics whatsoever. He also has no understanding of why people are conservative/ libertarian. If he wants to learn the reason, I would be happy to explain it to him.

5:30 - George Lakoff states that most people are not rational and unconscious. He implies that the American experiment does not work because of this; it is taken as fact. He justifies this by saying that we think in metaphors and he talks about “brain” activity. He starts off sounding interesting and educational. But, please watch how he warps this science into his own political purpose using no science and just stating his own baseless opinion as fact.
10:25 - George Lakoff says “War on Terror” is used to give Bush “War Powers.” Science?
11:10 – Conservatives own the media. Science?
12:50 – George Lakoff admits past personal incredulity with why people who are against Abortion are also “for owning guns, for the flat tax, against environmental regulation, for tort reform.” But, now we know….JUST WAIT FOR HIS REASON!
14:50 – The difference is that Conservatives’ view the World from a “Strict Father Family,” the idea that obedience is morality.
16:00 – George Lakoff’s explains warped pejorative explanation of “Strict Father Family.”
17:15 – Progressives believe in a “Nurturer Parent Family.” Oh, how nice.
17:45 – Progressive views are expressed in the most favorable light and seem ideal.

23:50 – Conservatives don’t notice how government empowers people. Oh, I am such an idiot when I look at the Soviet Union, Cambodia, North Korea, Venezuela, and China.
25:00 – Talks about two different views on religion based on Conservatives and Progressives.
25:45 – George Lakoff explains his warped view of why America is leader of the free world. He explains that everyone should just obey us is what Conservatives think.
27:00 – Here is where George Lakoff explains Conservative vs. Progressive view of education. If any progressive believes this, they should not according to Lakoff.
29:50 – Why Progressives are starting to believe Conservative viewpoints, but they don’t even know it. Basically, he says we are simplistic if we are conservative.

46:40 – Lakoff says that parents are equal in progressive families. Notice the slight of hand where he now uses “Nurturing” interchangeably with “Progressive.”
47:30 – Here Lakoff explains how he almost works in conjunction with the Democratic Party. Why is he considered an educational group?
47:45 – Here is where Lakoff gets into Constitutional discussion where he has no understanding. Where is the science? Where is his expertise in linguistics here?
49:00 – Lakoff explains more how his works are used by politicians. This is not educational!!
49:50 – Wolf Blitzer was asking questions at the debate. EVERY QUESTION WAS CONSERVATIVE. Even “Should English be the official language of United States,” Lakoff considered conservative. George Lakoff praises Barack Obama for saying that this divides us, when in fact a common language brings us together.
51:30 – Some Conservatives have Progressive views including: 1) You should feed hungry and sick; 2) Honesty; 3) Not harming public; 4) Care about people and being responsible. WHAT THE HECK DOES HE NOT UNDERSTAND ABOUT DOING THIS ON YOUR OWN WITHOUT GOVERNMENT DOING IT BY FORCE!!! This is not a progressive view!!
I want to you realize how far he went from starting off sounding interesting talking about brain function, and then switched over to calling Progressives people who care about others and Conservatives people who don’t. This is indoctrination.
Sadly, this is exactly what students, government loans, and sometimes parents pay for when students attend these Universities. Yet, students, and apparently people in this video are unequipped to intellectually combat this nonsense, or are simply the silent majority too frustrated to speak out.
The next three videos are shorter, but Lakoff defines “Family Values” as basically beating your children and wives. (3:50 of third video).
If I sound angry from this piece, it is because I am. I was once a student in these types of classes. On a daily basis I was force-fed this crap.
On a side note, What do you think would be a model answer on an exam from George Lakoff?
I still remember to this day how I was once asked the question on an exam, “True or False, is the Media Liberal or Conservative?” What do you think would happen if you called George Lakoff on his garbage? Yes, you would probably fail the class. This is what students deal with.
So, if YOU or anyone knows a Professor who works for or is affiliated with the Rockridge Institute, know that you are being deliberately brainwashed. You have been warned. So, please spread this link to as many people as possible.
Also, the next time you hear a Democrat like Kucinich say something as absurd as "There are no illegal human beings," chances are they learned it from Rockridge.
Lastly, I would like to mention as a disclaimer that I have no problem with dissenting views. I also have no problem with people trying to frame issues to suit their agenda. But, I do have a problem with people claiming that this is educational. It is nothing but Political propaganda subsidized by our tax dollars. I am simply not going to take it anymore.
