I always wondered why many people on the Left sought to appease Hitler before he started taking over Countries. Well, I think I understand why after reading the Huffington Post this morning. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad came to speak before the United Nations and gave Democratic talking points blaming the economic crisis on America's War in Iraq. Read the comments from the Huffington Post Leftists below in response to the Hitler of Iran:
IT'S ABOUT TIME WE LISTEN TO SOMEONE OTHER THAN BUSH!
Everybody doesn't want to fight "endless" wars like our war mongers. Most people all over the world want PEACE. All Bush and his war mongers want is MO' WAR!
We need to give peace a chance for all our sakes. - ebanks84
Sweet White Jesus! What does this say about the asshats that run this country? This guy is correct. Our attempted colonization of a middle eastern country and the continued pouring of off the ledger money into it has affected the global economy. Maybe not as much as deregulation of the financial industry by those wonderful Republicans looking out for you and me! - The Dick
Why do rightwing Christer warmongers hate their country so much? Seems like the only time they love America is when they are bombing the crap out of some small country.
Compared to the rest of the modern world, America is way behind with a crumbling infrastructure and lots of DUMB people due to their terrible schools 1-12.
Pure idiots.......dangerous ones. - DualCitizenUSAnNL
He's right. The desire of America to "police" other countries is based on greed and nothing else. If they really cared they would have addressed plenty of other countries, Rwanda, Darfur, North Korea, etc. But now this is the backlash: the unnecessary cost of war and its effect on our economy. But the people who pay are the tax payers and those who lost their lives for nothing! - pgurlatl
Ahmadjinehad is 1000 times the man Bush is.......and Iran hasn't invaded any country in centuries. - DualCitizenUSAnNL
True that Iran has maintained its territorial borders without Imperial wars against its neighbors. They are recovering from the destruction of their democracy that the US ruined when the US killed its president and placed in power a dictator who supported US oil interests. - abouttime
Iran hasn't attacked anyone in centuries...............yet the Useless States who has committed genocides in Iran and Vietnam has the nerve to preach to Iran. - DualCitizenUSAnNL
Someone has to pay for that profiteering.
And cutting taxes during a war was a bad, bad move.
Whether the USA can recover from Bush/Republican foolishness (nah, make that criminality) remains to be seen.
Certainly try the man for Crimes Against Humanity. - Durango
Sounds like the comments of a leader with a REAL world veiw. Not to say I support his views in his own country, I don't have to, I live in the USA. Bullying administrations like our current one could take a lesson from his view on the world as a whole. Leave us to live, we will leave you to live.....hopefully in peace. Hasn't been diplomacy in this country for FAR too long (8 years) - RPOC
It's so refreshing to hear plain common sense.................... - AdaArmstrong
"When Ahmadinejad was ushered to the podium of the General Assembly to speak, the U.S. delegation walked out."
With the United States reputation as an international bully, it's not so strange to see Bush "administration" diplomats behave like a whining spoiled child. - DotMafia
I hope that the US delegation don't walk out on Ahmadinejad's speech again as they did last year. By walking out showed a totally lack of respect not to Ahmadinejad, but for listening to others ideas and opinions.
While the US have the right disagree with Ahmadinejad and Iran's values and beliefs, I don't think it's very helpful to international peace to totally ignore what he might have to say. I'm not endorsing Ahmadinejad, but welcome that both sides of each story be heard. - Michael500
Ahmadinejad is telling the truth. It just shows that the Neo Cons assessment of him is wrong, like everything else they think. Our country is just getting paid back for all of the carnage that we have wrought on others. - Soothsayer08
Actually, I was thinking- judging by the statements reported here- that Ahmadinejad sounds more logical and reasonable and seems to possess more clarity than McCain. - mirandawilde
I notice that the U.N. will wait for Dr. Ahmadinejad to speak after allowing Dubya to blather away.
I guess they didn't want to embarrass the American president by giving him a skilled orator to follow.
Now, just give Chavez the mike before Bush begins, and you'd have a turkey sandwich. - canuklehead
Does anyone need more proof that the Left actually hates America?
