Within the same week that Mark Cuban has been charged by the SEC with insider trading, he also has had an epiphany that Barack Obama does not value entrepreneurs. Really? When Obama said he wanted to spread the wealth, that wasn't enough of an indication? I have a feeling that more people will be having buyer's remorse within the first year of Barack Obama's presidency.

Cuban's major critique of Barack Obama is that there isn't a single entrepreneur on his economic recovery team. This is the same reason why people valued the common sense economics of Sarah Palin, when the media attacked her for not being an Ivy League graduate.

Individuals who run their own businesses understand the direct impact that public policies have on the economy. Cuban put it quite intelligently why an entrepreneur needs to be on the Obama staff:

Without it, the rules of unintended consequences of any economic policy could hit you in the mouth in ways you never expected. Things like forcing companies from being taxpayers to the underground cash economy, or forcing new hires to be independent contractors to avoid having to pay their insurance or higher matching social security amounts. Your current group has no one with 100% of their net worth on the line. I promise you that the possibility of losing it all will provide a completely different perspective than any of the "knowledge" the esteemed, learned members of his current advisory team offer.

Yes, that is exactly right. People who are involved in small businesses can find problems with policies before their are implemented. Sadly, the mainstream media still rely on the "visions of the anointed" to get us out of the mess that the anointed created.
