A strange turn of events has caused me to side with GreenPeace. Never in my life did I think it was possible. But, it has happened.

Apparently, GreenPeace is against the expansion of Heathrow Airport, a construction project that I support. Still, while I do not share their goals, I support their means. Instead of destroying Heathrow Airport with vandalism, or suing the Airport and affiliated corporations, GreenPeace purchased the land that they wanted to preserve and refused to sell it to people who will use it for construction. As a proponent of property rights, I cannot object to GreenPeace's means.

Since GreenPeace / or their affiliate was able to pay market price for the land, they have every right to it. By definition, they find the land more valuable than the Airport because they came first to the land and made a voluntary exchange of money to achieve their goals.

The great irony now is that the British Government wants the land, meaning to get it, it would need to use collective force (AKA socialism) to deprive GreenPeace of its rightful land and property. Where individuals side on this issue based on political philosophy will be difficult to predict. But, true Conservatives must stand by GreenPeace on their means of achieving this political end.
