Boycott Nickelodeon

Posted In: , . By Devil's Advocate

It appears that Nickelodeon has teamed up with the Natural Resource Defense Council to indoctrinate your children while you weren't paying attention. Nickelodeon has launched a website, The Big Green Help, where children learn abject nonsense about Global Warming. Not only do they get to play video games where Sponge Bob battles CO2 monsters, but the website offers a quiz with factually baseless questions like the following:

5. Because the temperature of the Earth's surface is getting warmer, which of the following is true?

A) You can swim in the ocean in the winter, even in the North.

B) The sand on the beach will be even hotter this summer.

C) More than 20% of the Polar Ice Cap has melted away.

D) It's time to get a new air conditioner.

It is bad enough that entertainment for adults is filled with this Environmental religion; but, now we need to have our kids indoctrinated too?

Oh...and their tip of today is to not use an electric toothbrush. As a result, I'm leaving mine on all night. Bzzzzzzzz!

The 40 Most Obnoxious Quotes of 2008

Right Wing News has released....

The 40 Most Obnoxious Quotes For 2008
http://rightwingnews.com/mt331/2009/01/the_40_most_obnoxious_quotes_f.php

Here are a few samples to give you an idea of what it's like,

6) "I don't want to sound like an ad, a public service ad on TV, but the fact is if you can read, you can walk into a job later on. If you don't, then you've got, the Army, Iraq, I don't know, something like that. It's, it's not as bright. So, that's my little commercial for that." -- Stephen King

26) "We'll be eight degrees hotter in ten, not ten but 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow. Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals." -- Ted Turner

36) "Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul." -- Mark Morford

You'll definitely want to read them all.

Ann Coulter Guilty, Book Review

Posted In: . By Devil's Advocate

Ann Coulter's new book, Guilty: Liberal "Victims" and Their Assault on America, is one of her greatest achievements. Unlike her most recent book, “If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans," which was a total waste of money due to its continuous recitation of her previous works, "Guilty" rips into the heart of the mainstream media while avoiding the "nails on a chalkboard" attacks against women like the Jersey Girls for enjoying their husbands' deaths.

It is unclear whether Coulter's polished work resulted from her listening to critics on the Political Right, who suggested that she focus more on developing her arguments rather than bomb throwing. But, whatever the reason, this book will certainly satisfy anybody who was disgusted with the media's Leftist bias exhibited over the last thirty years.

After reading this book, no person could possibly argue for the existence of a "Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy."

In fact, what makes this book so powerful is its attention to detail. Even a politically savvy person like myself felt enlightened by the plethora of facts used to describe each news event, political scandal and incident of media bias. Coulter used more than enough documentation to substantiate her arguments. Any person who hopes to combat arguments with people on the Left end of the political spectrum will certainly benefit from this book.

Overall, if you are wondering what political books to read in the next few months, Guilty should certainly be on your list.

Ann Coulter Interview on CBS

Posted In: , . By Devil's Advocate

Actually, it was a good interview.

I love the "non-biased" objective reporting from the AP.

"President-elect Barack Obama's decision to fill the nation's top intelligence jobs with two men short on direct experience in intelligence gathering surprised the spy community and__fill in the blank__"

a) will jeopardize our National Security;

b) is a danger to America;

c) will limit the ability for America to gather intelligence; or

d) signaled the Democrat's intention for a clean break from Bush administration policies.

NBC: Bill Ayers Good, Ann Coulter Bad

Posted In: , , . By Devil's Advocate

Ann Coulter has been banned from all NBC shows (Drudge). But, Bill Ayers is allowed. Journalism is dead.

"We are just not interested in anyone so highly critical of President-elect Obama, right now," a TODAY insider reveals. "It's such a downer. It's just not the time, and it's not what our audience wants, either."

UPDATE: NBC now denies?

600,000 New Government Jobs

Posted In: . By Devil's Advocate

I cannot believe that after socializing the Country, Obama is proposing 600,000 new government jobs.

Right Wing News has just released...

The 7th Annual "20 Most Annoying Liberals Of 2008"
http://rightwingnews.com/mt331/2009/01/the_7th_annual_20_most_annoyin.php

The honorable mentions include,

Bill Ayers, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Juan Cole, Kent Conrad, The Daily Kos, Bill Delahunt, Glenn Greenwald, Alcee Hastings, Christopher Hitchens, The Huffington Post, Jesse Jackson, Jesse Jackson Jr. Caroline Kennedy, John Kerry, Ezra Klein, The L.A. Times, Mike Malloy, Rachel Maddow, Michael Moore, MoveOn, Michael Newdow, The New York Times, Michelle Obama, Rosie O'Donnell, Michael Pfleger, Ted Rall, Bill Richardson, Randi Rhodes, Al Sharpton, Cindy Sheehan, Ted Turner, Oprah Winfrey, Jeremiah Wright, Matthew Yglesias

If you think those folks are bad, wait until you see the winners!

The religious fundamentalist environmentalists have chosen a new strategy to persuade people that Anthropogenic Global Warming exists. Instead of claiming that our SUVs will cause the sea levels to rise, thereby killing us all, now our SUVs will cause people to be dispersed from their homelands causing a World War.

I kid you not.

According to Green organizations, supported by the Huffington Post, the warming of the planet caused by man will drive people out of their habitats to compete for resources. In addition, the northern regions will "become habitable for the first time in history," creating a competition for new oil fields. Moreover, the only way to stop this is to have governments work together to stop CO2 output of their citizens.

First of all, the statement "become habitable for the first time in history" is abject nonsense. Archeologists have already discovered ancient civilization underneath Greenland's ice. The world will also be able to grow more food, not less, with rising temperatures (if the temperatures really were rising, which they're not).

The fact of the matter is that the Global Warming religion has been disproved and we are witnessing a newer, more intense form of scaremongering.

Weekly News Recap

Posted In: . By Devil's Advocate

Here is my video for the week. I hope you enjoy it.

One of the things that liberals and conservatives have both supported throughout American history is that we have a free press. One of the reasons why it is considered "free" is because there is little or no government involvement in the content. With the exception of PBS, there is also no government funding.

While the media in America is certainly far from perfect, the lack of government control in speech and print has allowed the public to really understand what is taking place in society. Conversely, "Pravda" of the Soviet Union was almost entirely factually inaccurate and was nothing other than a means for the government to spew Communist propaganda. Well, sadly Pravda may be coming to America.

The reason this may change is because there are politicians who are arguing that failing newspapers should be bailed out along with the rest of the failing enterprises. While I am against bailouts of any kind, bailing out newspapers is particularly egregious.

The argument for bailing out newspapers is that the newspapers are necessary for a free society, and people need to know what is taking place in their communities. But, the only reason why they are "good" at all is because they are independent from the government. Bailing them out creates a horrible conflict of interest.

Moreover, nobody seems to recognize the fact that newspapers are failing because they are no longer fair in their reporting. Most have an extreme Leftist agenda, and consequently people are turned off by their bias. If people know they are paying for bias, they might as well read a columnist who purports to be biased up front.

Lastly, the fact that many people can go to the Internet and get free information that is more up-to-date than newspapers has almost made some newspapers obsolete. Just like we didn't bail out the typewriter industry when computers came along, we certainly shouldn't be bailing out newspapers. It is just a terrible precedent.
